Our ring kits include
three rings as shown to the left.
The
red arrow is pointing to the 3rd ring that you may not need.
When you remove the rings from your piston and you don't see this ring, then
it is not needed.
Installing The New Rings
If you look at the side the piston you will
see two small roll pins in the ring slots.
The rings will only work if they are
installed the correct way.
Install the black ring on the bottom first.
You should be able compress the ring with your fingers so they cover the
pins.
If you are unable to compress the rings that
are most likely installed upside down. You will need to remove the rings
flip them over and reinstall them.
Make sure you have the rings lined up with
the small roll pins on the piston before inserting the in the sleeve.
Tip: insert the piston from the bottom of the
sleeve before connecting the wristpin.
